1st wedding anniversary

Tim and I had a bit of an adventure for our 1st wedding anniversary. We had tried last week to call to make reservations to a restaurant we loved in Bellevue, Salute, but their voicemail kept coming on. We waited for a call back to make a reservation, but they never called. We decided we’d just play it by ear. So we go to Bellevue at about 12:30pm. We do some shopping then head over to 520 (a little restaurant with outdoor seating) to spend some time relaxing. It’s right next door to the Salute. We pull up and Salute is closed! We were so bummed!
So we go to 520 and asked the waitress when Salute closed and Sunday was their last day of business (Missed it by one day!) We decide that we’ll do Melting Pot for dinner since Tim had never been there. We look it up online and they don’t open til 5pm. It’s only about 1:30 pm at this point. So I make the suggestion that we exchange gifts. He got me a ring to wear with my wedding ring. It’s beautiful. However, it was too small. So we decided to go to Renton to drop it off to get sized and then head back to Bellevue. We still had about 2 hours until the Melting Pot opens. We go to the Rock Bottom for appetizers and kill time. We then go to dinner and Tim loves it! So much so that his stomach hurt from eating too much. I tried to warn him!!
So although the ring didn’t fit at first and our original choice of restaurant was closed and we drove around a bit, we had a great time! It was a very nice day together.
