I just found out!

I don't plan on posting this until my husband and family knows, but I took a pregnancy test today. My very first one! And I wanted to capture the details while they are still fresh.

First of all I pretty much "knew" on Monday. I am one of the few women who actually tracks her cycles and knows her body inside and out. If something is different, I know it! My cycles have been 30-29 days long. Well, this morning taking my temperature, I was at day 35. Which means I'm 5-6 days late. This morning I research online to see how soon I can take a pregnancy test. They recommended I use First Response. So at lunch I went out a bought one. I didn't have time to come back and take it right away so I waited for 2 hours. So at 1251 I go into the bathroom at work ( I know, lame!) and I do the pee on the stick thing. Which isn't as easy as you would think when you're shaking out of nervousness! Then I tried to not look at the stick for three minutes. Tim text me during this wait time and I'm trying to act normal knowing that in a few minutes our lives will either be changed forever or I will start crying because of disappointment. Not that I meant to get pregnant right now, but I'll get into those details later.

Finally my cell said 12:54 and I grabbed the stick and saw two lines! One was faint, but there. It was positive! I just starting shaking, smiling, and crying and thanking God then wishing I could share this with someone right away. I want to wait to tell Tim until I recieve a gift I bought him. On Monday I ordered him personalized golf balls that say, "Congrats! You're going to be a daddy!". I'm having them delivered to Stephanie's house telling her it's a Christmas present for Tim. As soon as I get those in my hands, I am giving them to him. I figured I'd order them even though I didn't have confirmation, but someday I'd be pregnant and want to tell him in a special way. Now if I can just wait until I get them! Oh and let me just add that we have our final builder walk through tonight and tomorrow is my 28th birthday. Such an amazing week! And I made an appointment to see my Dr. tomorrow to have the official test done. I figured that would be a neat thing to do on my 28th birthday!

  1. So awesome!! Your test is DARK! The line on the left is the actual test line. It's so dark that it stole dye from the control line. haha.
