Kaydriana has been an official walker for a week and 1 day.
She walks like she’s had a few drinks, certainly not sure footed yet. The first couple of days she’d get so excited as she made her way on two feet and would make a grunting laughing noise. She falls on her bum a lot, but she doesn’t usually mind too much. I love that she now walks into my arms and gives me loves. Melts my heart each time!
She started wanting to climb things and wants to crawl up the stairs instead of being carried; lil’ miss independent.
Some other new things she is doing is saying a version of “uh oh” but it’s more like, “o’oh” and blowing kisses. I absolutely adore her sweet little voice and love the noises that come out of her mouth, especially as she’s practicing “th, b, p” noises.
She has 11 teeth now, including one molar. She just started slobbering a bunch again so that must mean more are on their way.
I successfully nursed Kaydriana for the last time about 3 days ago. I tried nursing her twice after that but milk was slow to come and she gave up so that chapter of our relationship is over. In a way I’m glad I didn’t know it was the last time because I think I would have cried.
She got her first ‘in the salon’ bang cut yesterday. She did great, but I hate it! Cut, blunt bangs make her look older. I prefer the wispiness of baby hair.
Today Kaydriana went with daddy to the Mariner’s Vs Yankees game. Tim says it was one of his favorite days ever and the best Mariners game he’s ever gone to. Unfortunately I had to work today so I missed out, and it sounds like they had a great time. Tomorrow is Memorial Day so Tim, Kaydriana and I are headed to Leavenworth for the day. Weather will be warmer over the pass so we’ll enjoy some sun and food

They grow sooooooo fast! This next year is going to be another fast and full one :)
